Altice SA Close to Buying Suddenlink, Talking with TWC
Reuters reports that French telecommunications group Altice SA has already had talks with Time Warner Cable, now that the Comcast merger is dead, and they are close to buying provider Suddenlink.
The company is working to move into the U.S. Cable TV market, and a deal with Time Warner Cable could approach $40 billion.
The deal to buy Suddenlink could be worth $10 billion, including the debt.
Time Warner Cable is also being considered by smaller rival Charter Communications, whose deal with Comcast also fell through because of the dead merger.
