Amazon Ready to Allow Negotiations on Some Products

Dec 11, 2014 amazon, ebay, shopping, 0 Comments

Amazon recently introduced a price-negotiating feature on a number of its products, which is a landmark moment for the retail site. It’s expected to ramp up sales on a number of different categories, including memorabilia in both the sports and entertainment world, as well as the fine art categories.

This should make for a nice feature to compete with eBay even more than they already were.

Sellers can choose to include a “Make an Offer” feature on the listing of their products, which allowed the shopper to offer a price below the list price. This feature was made popular by PriceLine.com for the travel industry.

Since the collectibles industry is the one most commonly related to auction bidding, it only makes sense that Amazon starter here with their negotiating features.
