Considering AT&T plans to pay $67 billion to purchase DirecTV, it only makes sense that the Satellite TV provider reportedly renewed its deal with the NFL to continue carrying the NFL Sunday Ticket subscription package.

The NFL Sunday Ticket allows subscribers the ability to watch all out-of-town NFL games every Sunday afternoon. The deal is reported to be worth around $1 billion for eight years, although, neither side is commenting on it.

The deal also appears to nix any plans the NFL might have had to make a deal with Google or Apple to stream their games to homes in the U.S.
