Early Friday morning, Apple allowed the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones to go on sale for preorder, with the product shipping in mid-October.

Impressively, all of the major Apple carriers sold out of their preorder allotments of the iPhone 6 Plus, and the shipping times should be a little longer than normal.

While there were minor problems reported with error messages, the new demand of the new iPhones was higher than the company had seed in a few years, according to Recode.net. No specific sales numbers were shared, however.
