Microsoft Plans to Have Windows 10 on 1 Billion Devices in 3 Years

Microsoft plans to roll out Windows 10 in the summer of 2015, and they hope to have Windows 10 on 1 billion devices by the summer of 2018.

Windows 10 is the new operating system that will be used on new Microsoft computers, smartphones and Windows tablets. But they also announced that the operating system will has new partners in Twitter, Netflix and WeChat.

“Our goal is within two to three years of Windows 10’s release there will be one billion devices running Windows 10,” said Terry Myerson Windows unit head, at the Build Conference in San Francisco.

Microsoft’s new browser will be called, “Microsoft Edge,” and it will be built into Windows 10.
