Sling TV Starts Era of Pay TV Over the Internet

For the first time in U.S. television history, people can get subscription TV without having to sign up for Cable TV service — thanks to Dish Network’s Sling TV, which is available now.

For $20 per month, users can get ESPN, CNN, and several other Cable TV channels delivered over the Internet. That’s the Sling TV service that everyone is talking about because it’s a harbinger of things to come for Pay TV service.

HBO Go’s streaming service begins in a few months as well, and the world is slowly moving toward an ala carte service for their television viewing pleasure.
