Wireless Power Company uBeam Gets Recharged with $10 Million in Funding

uBeam is a wireless power company that develops products that allows mobile device users the ability to wirelessly charge their cellphones, tablets and laptops using ultrasound.

They raised another $10 million in Series A funding last week, led by Upfront Ventures.

This new money joins the original $1.7 million raised previously, and the new cash will be used to expand their engineering team and product development, according to Recode.net.

Some of the company’s existing investors included Andreesen Horowitz and NBA owner Mark Cuban.
